
David qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and practised for 30 years before deciding to start the Employment Solutions business in early 2025.
David worked at two of the region's top law firms before joining Paris Smith LLP in 2004. David spent 21 years with Paris Smith LLP and became a partner in 2007. He was also a board member for many years.
David was recognised as one of the region's best employment lawyers. Chambers & Partners ranked him for 17 years and David was in Band 1 for 10 years consecutively. Indeed, in 2025 when David stepped down as a practising solicitor, he was one of only 3 solicitors ranked in band 1 for employment law in the South of England.
David is on the roll of solicitors (SRA number 15542) but is currently non-practising.
David has dealt with every aspect of employment law and, as an employment tribunal advocate, appeared at employment tribunals across England, Wales and Scotland.
David dealt with hundreds of tribunal claims throughout my career, as well as High Court cases involving breaches of restrictive covenants and confidentiality.
David was well known for dealing with senior/director exits and concluded numerous high value exits and settlements.
David dealt with all aspects of working and was involved in employment status issues as well as partnership and LLP disputes.
David qualified as a mediator in 2007 and has mediated a variety of civil, employment and worker-related disputes.
